It’s Krause here, the newest producer/editor for Windsong Productions.
I’m currently helping with editing for an original program called, “My Family Recipe Rocks,” developed and produced by The Walt Disney Company/Live Well Network (livewellnetwork.com) and hosted by Joey Fatone. For those of you that don’t remember, Joey used to be a part of a little known boy band called *NSYNC. They sold an ish-ton of records in the late 90’s and though I wasn’t a fan of their music growing up, I did have a near panic attack when I met Mr. Fatone…true story.
Joey appeared on “Dancing with the Stars” a few seasons back and is now a full-time host for TV shows and live events.
Which brings us to MFRR (My Family Recipe Rocks). This is a show about good-ol’ American families cooking traditional family recipes with Joey. Sometimes they’re old recipes past down from generation to generation and other times they’re plain and simple recipes that hold sentiment for the individuals.
I’m tasked with writing and editing the next episode. If I’m not mistaken, this episode will air the first week of May. I actually shot part of this episode as the third cameraman, so writing and editing should be a bit easier having been on set for the entire process. But we’ll see.
There’s a secret ingredient in this next episode, so I can’t get specific with the food but shooting with Jeff Aiello (executive producer), Jon Neely (director of photography), Joey Fatone (host), Kelli Torrence (make-up artist) and Zach Allen (audio engineer) was a lot of fun. We got to shoot on Millerton Lake and the weather was fantastic. We also had a mini-luau with the Cortez family of Clovis and I’m actually thinking about making one of their recipes at home…now that is a true story!
Word,
Krause
