Office Spotlight: Keepin’ It Real With Jo & Josh

Alright ladies and gents, it’s blog time. I thought, why not do a wicked awesome spotlight on two of my favorite people here at Windsong Productions: Sara and Anthony?  Unfortunately, they were super swamped so… here it is, a mighty fine look into a little place called: Jo and Krause’s office or as I call it “Thugz Mansion.”

Krause and Jo’s office features a melting pot, nay, a jambalaya of styles. Their office is a ornate fusion of each party’s unique decorating style. I emphasize the term unique as there isn’t a term coined for a place that features both a finely stitched *NSYNC pillow AND an oversized poster that features many rappers, including 50 Cent, as part of program that ran on BET: “Beef III”…but I digress. Let’s just say, it has a certain “je ne sais quas.” But what makes this cubicle tick you ask? Well, I’ll most certainly tell you.

Now, everyone who’s anyone knows that Windsong’s “street cred” can be attributed to one thing: Josh Krause. Is this because he decorated his office with frames that he may or may not have gold leafed himself? Is it perhaps because I am convinced he has the song “Gangsta’s Paradise” by Coolio on constant loop? The office may never know. However, here are a few things that I do know. Standing at just under 6 feet tall, Krause has an unhealthy obsession with wearing army pants, plaid shirts and boat shoes all at the same time. Krause assists in editing “My Family Recipe Rocks,” an original program developed and produced by The Walt Disney Company/Live Well Network (livewellnetwork.com) with host Joey Fatone. I know he secretly has a soft spot for the song “Bye, Bye, Bye” like the rest of the English speaking world. Though, he may never admit it. All kidding aside, Krause has a very impressive resume. Some of his credits include: TV series “BEEF The Series,” and “Number One With A Bullet.” His work as executive producer/producer on the controversial yet critically acclaimed documentary, “The Carter,” about the life of rapper Lil’ Wayne was shown at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. Not too shabby.

So lets rewind here for a minute. We have Krause, but what about Jo? After all there would be no Josh with out a little Jo. See what I did there? Josh has a “j” and an “o”? Well anyway, Joann stands at 5 feet 3 inches, that is, when she isn’t peering over me in her 6 inch heels. She is the public relations mastermind behind Windsong Productions, I Bike Fresno and The Germ. Joann’s experience includes assisting in developing the public relations and marketing department at a local Fresno firm where her main accounts included State Farm and Farmers Insurance. She has worked closely with numerous celebrity keynote speakers for the Central California Women’s Conference and recently worked as an Executive Assistant II for Hollywood publicist, Michael Levine. In her spare time, although you’d never know it, she is a foodie. Now by foodie I do not mean fine dining fanatic. No, I mean complete and utter food junkie. At any given moment, you will find Jo digging through her infamous snack drawer. Don’t worry though, she always shares.

So, how do two people with such different natures share an office in complete bliss? Well, “bliss” may be a little ambitious but I attribute the success of “Thugz Mansion” to Windsong as a whole. Just like the back office, Windsong is a melting pot of creative individuals focused on a singular goal, telling stories and telling them well.
