Back and bigger than ever, last night’s sixth Germ screening blew away everyone’s expectations. Attendees escaped the sweltering Fresno summer heat and packed into Windsong Productions to watch 11 amazing short films.
Our doors opened at 7 p.m. where we had the super secret food vendor, Brown Bear’s Hot Dogs, serving up tasty food. The fun continued inside with fresh popcorn, a colorful candy bar and the always-popular no-host bar headed by our friends at Wedgewood Banquet Center. The crowd grew quickly during the hour-long prelude to the screening and we had a great time talking to everyone about the event. Windsong’s creative director, Byron Watkins, opened the screening with the inspiration of the night’s short films, “Modern Fairytale” and introduced the 11 entries and their creators.
It was great to see regulars from past Germs as well as new faces. There was even a family who drove up from Visalia to catch the films- you guys rock! We are very lucky to have so many supporters that are just as dedicated to the success of the project as we are.
