(FRESNO, CALIFORNIA) Windsong Productions, LLC, a full-service video production studio, has hired veteran writer and communications professional Anthony Witrado as Copywriter, and Carolina De La Torre as its newest Production Assistant.
Anthony Witrado | Copywriter
Anthony joins Windsong with more than 20 years in journalism and communications. He has written for several publications, including The Fresno Bee, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Sporting News, ESPN and Forbes. He is also a respected national voice on diversity in media and organizational storytelling, having taught and presented at numerous journalism and communications conferences.
At Windsong, Anthony is in charge of virtually all the studio’s production writing and will work alongside Partner/Executive Creative Director Byron Watkins on story and concept development. His experience gives him a strong sense for what will make a story and video compelling and engaging, making him an important part of Windsong’s development process and storytelling.
Originally from Fresno and a California State University, Fresno graduate, Anthony made his way back to the Valley in 2016 when he became a Sr. Communications Specialist at Valley Children’s Healthcare before taking on the same role at Community Medical Centers in 2018.
Carolina De La Torre | Production Assistant
Carolina comes to Windsong with a diverse marketing and media background, giving her a keen eye for branding and messaging and making her a versatile asset to all of Windsong’s productions. Her role evolves as she works closely with our creative team, writers, editors and talent, putting her in the mix on every part of a production at one time or another. She will report to and work with Windsong’s senior producing team of Sara Bourbeau, Partner/Head of Production, and Joann Mercado Hicks, Producer.
Before Windsong, Carolina was most recently at Top Hand Media as a Digital Media Specialist and Producer, doing work for clients like Fresno Yosemite International Airport, Fresno State Athletics and William Saroyan Museum. She’s also done voiceover work for several local clients, including the County of Fresno, Eye-Q and First 5.
While earning her degree at California State University, Fullerton, she received the Community Action Award for dedication to unity and solidarity amongst campus minority groups, and she is currently a member of the Latino Giving Circle Network, the largest network of Latino donors in the nation.
