Today we honor Joshua Krause. Actually, it was yesterday, but still.
Since 2007, Business Street Online has recognized young Fresno-area professionals with their annual “40 Under 40” Awards. Our creative director Byron was among the 2012 honorees.
This year, Windsong editor/producer and Prettiest Man in the Office, Joshua Krause, became the second member on our team to earn the recognition. He and his fellow 40u40 classmates were honored last night at a reception at Chuckchanski Park’s Cru Club.
Windsong began to truly understand Krause soon after he was hired and proceeded to fake being arrested during an out-of-state shoot. But even more than his silly pranks and sarcastic one liners, Krause excels at producing great stuff. This year alone, he has helped us partner with QD3 Entertainment to interview the likes of Puff Daddy, Ludacris, 2 Chainz and others for a documentary about music producing legends Organized Noize. He has also been hard at work putting on the finishing touches for the December 9 national release of “Number One With A Bullet,” a feature-length documentary examining the relationship between gun violence and hip hop music, through the eyes of rappers who have experienced both.
Bottom line: Krause makes Windsong and Fresno a little bit cooler just by being here and sharing his great talents with us. Here’s what folks in the office had to say about him (on very short notice):
Byron: “Josh brings much-needed street cred to Windsong. Not only was his life threatened by a famous rapper, but he also drives a Range Rover and wears shirts with font types that I can’t read. It was only a matter of time before Business Street Online recognized his contribution to cultivating the urban culture here at Windsong. He is a really good producer, too.”
Conlan: “Krause is a talented producer and editor, but his biggest strength is his ability to bring donuts for the office sometimes.”
Jo: “Krause is my officemate and that’s pretty cool. Who else can say they share an office with one of the producers of the critically acclaimed film, ‘The Carter’?”
Dave: “He’s wearing glasses today. I’m relatively confident they’re not prescription.”
Kyle: “Krause. His name rhymes with ‘house’. He’s really good off camera.”
Haley: “Joshua Krause is the coolest person in America, maybe even the world. Wow! So cool. The dopest!!!!!” (Note: This comment was via a Facebook post where Josh hacked her account, but it’s possible she thinks that anyway.)
Justin (at BLARE Media): “Josh has a unique perspective that helps his work stand out from the crowd.”
Sara: “Krause is just an all-around great guy to work with and he adds something uniquely special to each project. He is an excellent producer and editor. I’m proud to have him on our team.”
