Crabgrass is Annoying

It seems that most people simply ignore crabgrass when it attacks their lawn. We set out to humanize crabgrass and make it an annoyance that this family has to deal with.

The challenge was, “How do we make crabgrass actually talk?”

After brainstorming multiple options we decided to “get our Jim Henson on.” We created a crabgrass puppet by using multiple patches of fake grass attached to floral wire. It took two puppeteers* to operate our weed then a little bit of rotoscoping to remove the wires. The result is a spot that hopefully makes you smile.
